Today, The Hammond stands as one of the UK's leading independent performing arts schools, offering an outstanding education for boys and girls aged 11–16 who are ambitious both academically and creatively. It is a place where excellence in the classroom sits alongside elite vocational training, enabling students to flourish intellectually, artistically and personally.
Our unique approach combines a broad and challenging academic curriculum with specialist pathways in Dance, Musical Theatre and Acting, allowing every student to pursue their passion without compromising their education. The Hammond is proud to offer something truly distinctive. It is the only school in the UK where students can access the complete breadth of professional dance training throughout their secondary education, from Year 7 through to Year 11. Student receive the highest level of training in Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Commercial, Tap and other specialist disciplines, students receive exceptional technical training alongside an outstanding academic education, preparing them for whatever future they choose.
