College Council
At The Hammond, we believe our students should play an active role in shaping their own college experience. The College Council is the representative voice of our College community, providing students with the opportunity to share ideas, influence decision-making and work in partnership with staff and senior leaders to continually enhance college life.
Student voice is valued, respected and embedded within the way we develop our provision, ensuring that the experiences and perspectives of our students help shape the future of the College.

Made up of elected representatives from each vocational pathway, the College Council encourages students to contribute to discussions on curriculum, student life, wellbeing, enrichment and the overall learning experience. Members work collaboratively with staff to lead initiatives, represent their peers and help create a vibrant, inclusive and supportive community.
Alongside developing leadership, communication and teamwork skills, the College Council prepares students for the professionalism, collaboration and responsibility expected within the performing arts industry.
