The post would suit professionally trained, experienced qualified teachers with professional performance experience and who want to work in a vibrant and engaging environment. The post holder should be a confident and able to deliver Jazz technique to the highest standard. The possession of a degree would be an advantage.
The role is a permanent and part-time (0.5) position, starting on 1st September 2026.

At The Hammond, we believe that every young person should see themselves reflected in the community around them, feel that they belong, and know that their voice matters.
As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Volunteer Community Inclusion Champion to work alongside our school.
This important voluntary role will provide an independent source of support and guidance for students who may feel underrepresented within our community, while also helping senior leaders and staff continue to strengthen an inclusive culture in which every student feels seen, heard and represented.
The role may include:
• Acting as a trusted and independent person for students to speak with when appropriate.
• Providing advice and guidance to senior leaders on representation, belonging and inclusive practice.
• Supporting staff training and professional development.
• Helping us deepen our understanding of the lived experiences of students from underrepresented or historically marginalised backgrounds, ensuring these voices help shape our policies, practices and culture.We would welcome expressions of interest from individuals with relevant lived and/or professional experience in areas such as education, youth work, community leadership, equality, inclusion, advocacy or related fields. We are particularly keen to hear from people whose lived experience will help us better understand and support students from underrepresented backgrounds.
This is a voluntary (unpaid) position. As the role involves working with children and young people, the successful applicant will be required to complete our full safer recruitment process, including an Enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references and all other safeguarding checks appropriate to the role.
