HamFam – Your Student Union!
Who we are?
The HamFam is a Student Society founded back in 2021. Hammond students created the HamFam to encourage more socials across all year groups and within our Hammond community.
What do we do?
We hold regular events outside of training to provide all students with time to let our hair down alongside a busy schedule. We also help to raise money for charities that resonate with us and our institutional values. We also keep everyone up to date about events in Chester to help students explore what our city has to offer.

What is the Buddy System?
The Buddy system is put in place every year for our first years arriving in September. Each new student is partnered up with a second or third year to ask and answer questions, get to know how the Hammond works, and settle into life in Chester!
What events do we run?
At HamFam we love to run socials, including Open Mic Nights, Quizzes and Fundraising Events. These events are important in bringing us together and making everyone feel part of the Hammond Family.
