What is the Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre?
The Trinity Level 6 Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre is a full-time vocational training programme for students who are serious about pursuing a career in the performing arts.

Through intensive training in dance, singing and acting, students develop the skills, confidence and professional discipline needed to meet the demands of the industry. What does an average week look like?
No two weeks are quite the same.
Alongside industry workshops, rehearsals and performance opportunities that take place throughout the year, students follow a structured programme of technical training in the core disciplines of jazz, ballet, tap, singing and acting.

Performance classes provide opportunities to bring these skills together through integrated musical theatre work, ensemble projects and swing training, helping students develop the adaptability, awareness and professionalism expected of today's performers.

Once a year, students will undertake full-scale rehearsals alongside their classes and will be cast into a professionally directed musical theatre production.
Throughout their training students will also benefit from an eclectic programme of workshops and masterclasses led by external artists in the profession, providing a vast wealth knowledge and experience from the outside world.

In addition to formative and summative assessments in all core disciplines and in live performance, students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning through regular discussion, tutorials, reflective practice, self-assessment and target setting.

Level 6 Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre (accredited by CDMT and Trinity College London)
This course comprises of three years of training.
Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is also on offer.
Students may participate in classes leading to examination in LAMDA (gold level) and London College of Music/Musical Theatre.

Graduates can progress directly to employment in the performing arts industry.

Middlesex University offers a work-based, part-time distance learning course, developed in association with Trinity College London, for graduates of this qualification leading to a BA (Hons) Professional Practice. Graduates may also apply directly for some MA courses
