Course Information

In this program, you will receive comprehensive training under the guidance of the esteemed Hammond faculty, covering essential aspects for a career in dance and musical theatre. The curriculum encompasses Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Commercial, Musical Theatre, and Ensemble singing. Engage in workshop classes led by Industry Professionals, where you will learn choreography directly from the shows, they are involved in. To enhance this hands-on experience, you will have the chance to book to see a live performance of the showcased production. This is an optional extra that can be purchased when booking your place on the course.
As part of the course, you'll have the opportunity to purchase a personalised 1-2-1 lesson with one of Hammond's world-class instructors, specialising in either Singing or Dancing.
You have the opportunity to live the life our full-time students lead, by applying for a space in our boarding houses. Alternatively, you have the option to attend as a day student.

The upcoming week promises a blend of Dance, Theatre, and sheer enjoyment, providing you with an opportunity to hone your skills, forge lasting memories, and collaborate with the exceptional teaching team here at the Hammond.

Our dance and musical theatre course has been carefully refined to more closely reflect the classes and industry-focused approach experienced by our full-time students. This enhanced curriculum offers a dynamic and immersive experience, with training across Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Repertoire, and Commercial dance; giving students a stronger, more connected foundation in performance and technique.
We extend a warm invitation for you to immerse yourself in the splendid surroundings of our expansive Chester grounds, making use of our state-of-the-art facilities and studios. For a truly immersive experience, consider staying at our boarding house, mirroring the life of our full-time students. Our experienced boarding team ensures the fun continues into the evening with talent shows, movie nights, and various engaging activities, that make every night feel like a sleep over with your friends.
In addition to the distinguished dance faculty at the Hammond, we are thrilled to announce the participation of industry professionals, offering workshops based on shows currently gracing stages across the country. Following an optional evening theatre excursion, you'll have the unique opportunity to learn repertoire from the very show you've just witnessed, with cast members on-site.
